Jackie OTS Children's Mobile game

At Jackie OTS, we aimed to create a fun and educational app for children with Autism. Unfortunately the Project fell apart during the pandemic but I think the lessons I've learned from this project will help me in my future as a designer.
Children would be allowed to pick an avatar and choose from a variety of educational games. As the designer I illustrated over 10+ avatars!
While most games were in a working state, most of the app remained as a prototype until the end of the company...
Kids would have multiple ways to access games! Areas around the house would feature activities based on childrens games. The sandbox would host mulitple fun and quick children's games. These included Building Sand Castles, Digging for Dinosaurs, and Building toy models.
The scrapbook game focused on matching the facial expressions of one character to the facial expression of another character! Our goal here was to teach children with poor social skills the value of reading faces.
For this game I designed many characters, each with a multitude of emotions
Another game made for the app was our garden. This game was designed to teach delayed gratification. The seeds planted by the children would grow every day as long as they made sure to water and weed the garden...
Here are some samples off what the process would look like...
Apple Tree...
Lemon Tree...
In Conclusion, although our project was cut short due to several factors, I believe that the product we had been developing had a lot of good ideas that should be implemented in other child-friendly products. It would also be beneficial to further test these games with neurodivergent children to best understand what is necessary for their engagement.
